Quantal Quilt

The Quantal Quilt is an interactive projection-mapped sculpture that explores the relationship between geometry, gravity, and chaos.

Constructed from a tessellation of triangles, the piece folds into a three-dimensional form that is both mathematically structured and beautifully unpredictable. No two installations are ever quite the same.

Originally conceived as a large-scale projection surface that could fold down for easy transport, the Quantal Quilt was exhibited at ten different events, taking on a new shape and visual identity each time.

Two layers of projected video brought the sculpture to life, with interactive particles responding to visitors' movements. Each installation featured custom content tailored to the event, transforming the same physical canvas into an entirely new experience.
